Hoping your 2016 is off to a great start! If you're anything like me, you love a night out with the gals dancing your buns off! Well, the other night was to be one of those times as I headed out excited and ready for a fun night with friends celebrating the birth of one of my fave ladies. However, when I arrived, I realized that I was completely and utterly mis-dressed for a night of dancing shenanigans with my gals. Not to say I didn't like what I had on (chunky crop sweater, long skirt and booties) but no where near what the uniform should be for a night out with our best gals. And it truly changed my night. I couldn't fully enjoy myself because I wasn't in the right "shake it" wear. So, I thought, "Ah! This would be the perfect topic to discuss a little further!" See below for what I feel are a few guidelines as to what will cut it when you really wanna cut that rug.
A dress and a pair of sneaks...
I can get a lot of pushback on this from clients but I swear by this look. It's cute, fun, sexy (rock it short) and most important, you can dance all night long in those sneaks. Just keep it dressy up top and those comfy kicks will keep the perfect balance to rock this look.
Denim on denim
This is one of may fave every day looks but I also love wearing it out! The rules are simple...denim needs to be of different shades. That's really it. If you want, you could also throw on a cute belt (either a neon or an animal print) with a kick a$$ pair of stilettos and it's go time.
This is an immediate kick to the fun quotient in your wardrobe...and you wont believe how neon will go with everything. Whatever shape it comes in, doesn't really matter (clutch, belt, skirt, stiletto) as long as it's a part of the final result, you'll be in the chips for a good time. It's also an easy and inexpensive way to update any outfit...especially our fave "black" ensemble that we all love!
Yes! In my opinion...they're back! This is the thing...they must be patterned or a color and they must accompany either a mini or a pair of hot shorts. All I know is I've purchased these for a few clients and they've been a hit! This is definitely for those willing to push the style envelope a little but I promise..you won't be disappointed with your gams covered in some fun.
So, there's a few of my pointers. Hope they help! And I hope to see you on the dance floor (or in your closet!) in 2016!
